The people on your file.
Attorneys and paralegals who handle Virginia and North Carolina settlements start to finish, with a named person you can call at every stage, not a general inbox.

Brett B. Thompson, Esq.
Brett founded Thompson Law Group in Virginia Beach in 2010 and has since guided thousands of residential and commercial transactions to settlement across Virginia and North Carolina, along with equity lines and term loans secured by real property.
His practice also covers the business side of ownership: entity formation, asset purchases and sales, and closely held stock transfers for small and mid-sized companies throughout Hampton Roads.
A VMI graduate and Regent University School of Law alumnus, Brett is a Pedro Sauer black belt and created the firm's free quarterly real estate agent safety and self-defense seminar for agents who show property alone.

Jillian Murphy, Esq.
Jillian handles residential purchases, sales, and refinances from contract through disbursement, with particular attention to the title issues that surface in older Hampton Roads neighborhoods: estates in the chain, unreleased liens, and boundary conflicts on waterfront lots.
Clients and agents work with her directly on contract questions, title review, and anything that needs an attorney's judgment before closing day.
The people who move the file.
Most of your day-to-day contact happens here: title, payoffs, figures, and everything after recording.

Pam manages the settlement side of the firm and serves as the paralegal on commercial closings, from due diligence through recording and post-closing deliverables.

Isabelle keeps files moving from intake to the table: scheduling, document preparation, and the coordination between lender, agent, and client that keeps closing dates intact.

Analyn handles settlement files in both states and is our specialist on North Carolina closings (Currituck, Dare, and the Outer Banks), where title, payoff, and recording requirements differ from Virginia practice.

Christy handles settlement files start to finish, coordinating payoffs, HOA figures, and lender requirements so nothing surfaces on closing morning.

Kelli prepares and reviews settlement files, keeping title, lender, and client documents aligned ahead of the closing date.

Sherma manages settlement files from intake forward, coordinating with agents, lenders, and clients so everyone has the same information at the same time.

Laura handles everything after the table clears: recording, disbursement follow-up, final title policies, and document copies when you need them years later.

Mariya handles post-closing follow-through: recording confirmations, payoff verifications, and the final documents that close out a file.

Tyia is usually the first voice you hear. She schedules closings, answers where-does-my-file-stand questions, and makes sure the right person calls you back.

Patricia greets every client who walks through the door and keeps the front of the office running: calls, visitors, and closing-day logistics.

Briana leads marketing and sales for the firm and hosts Boards with Brie, the quarterly women's networking night for local real estate professionals, complete with her charcuterie boards, cocktails, and mocktails.

Small enough to know your file, staffed enough to close it.
Every transaction is assigned to a settlement officer and backed by an attorney. You are not handed from department to department, and the person who answers knows where your file stands.
We're hiring paralegals and attorneys who work the same way.
